I grew up in Linwood, Kansas. I have had animals for as long as I can remember. One of my favorite memories was on my 10th birthday. My mom brought home a 6 week old Basset Hound that I named Mac. He was my very best friend for 14 years. I was very shy growing up and Mac helped me to realize my passion for helping animals. In high-school I began working at a nearby pet store which helped me learn so many new things. I worked there for 6 years. I also worked part-time at a veterinary clinic during my last 2 last years at the pet store. I then became a full time employee at the veterinary clinic. It was at this point in my life that I began to realize that this was what I wanted to do. I continued to work at this clinic for another 8 years.

I decided to postpone my work in the veterinary field in 2011 to start a family. We have four wonderful and energetic kids ages 7, 5 (twins) and 3. Of course, with my love of animals I am also a mom to 5 cats and 3 dogs.

I recently came back to work. I initially returned to work in early 2017 by getting my feet wet working for a couple of veterinary clinics. I started here at Petworks in January of 2018. I am a full-time receptionist. And, I am also trained to assist the technicians and Dr. Callicott if needed.

I have found my “work home” here at Petworks Veterinary Hospital. We feel like a family. I work with people I love everyday. And, who are passionate about what we do here. I get to meet so many people and their furry babies.

Spending time away from my four kids is not easy sometimes. But, I feel truly blessed to be able to spend it at Petworks.
