Petworks COVID-19 Policies

We want to make your appointment as safe and effective as possible.


Due to the progression of the COVID-19 global pandemic, Petworks Veterinary Hospital will institute the following procedures:

- Office hours will continue to be the same - We will schedule only sick patient appointments for at least the next 3 weeks

- We will not schedule any elective procedures such as dental cleanings or routine surgeries (spay/neuter/declaw) for at least the next 2 weeks.

- We will honor any previously scheduled appointments for wellness/vaccine appointments or elective procedures. The exception will be for puppy and kitten visits that cannot be delayed.

- We will continue to offer grooming/boarding and daycare for your pets.

- We ask that you please inform a staff member before coming to Petworks if you or any of your family members are feeling symptoms (cough/fever/difficulty breathing), have been exposed to someone positive for COVID-19, or have travelled to a “hot spot” within the last 14 days.

- In order to limit contact and help with social distancing, we will institute curbside service. We ask that you stay in your car upon arriving and call the front desk at 913-381-3131. A staff member will come to your car and either  Admit your pet for an appointment/grooming/boarding/daycare, Discharge your pet to you, or Deliver food/medications/supplies

- In cases of extreme situations such as emergencies, we ask that you call when you are on your way (if possible), to allow us to prepare.

- Payments can be done via phone for credit cards, or a staff member can retrieve payment from you (cash or credit card).

- We understand that this is not an ideal situation and we would appreciate your patience as you may have to wait during peak times.

- We thank you in advance for your cooperation and your support as we try to deal with a difficult time for all of us.
