Practice Manager

Hello, my name is Angie Callicott and I am Dr. Callicott's wife of 25 years. We are both from Overland Park. Our families lived only about 2 miles from each other when we were growing up. I first met him when I was 16 years old. We both worked as lifeguards for Overland Parks and Recreation in the Summer months. Kent went to Aublurn Universitiy for their veterinary program and then transferred to KSU to be closer to home. I also attended KSU for three years getting my pre-requesite courses done prior to going to Rockhurst University's Physical Therapy program.  We got married before he graduated from Kansas State College of Veterinary Medicine. I began work as a physical therapist at Onaga Community Hospital while Kent finished the veterinary program. So, I have been with him from the start of his career. We moved back to the Kansas City area in 1992 and Kent began working first in Grain Valley , MO and then in the Northland. When then found our home in Overland Park with Petwroks Veterinary Hospital. He initially worked with Dr. Paris Revior who owned Petworks and then Kent became the sole veterinarian for the past 16 years.  I am so proud of him and the practice that he has built. He is very passionate about his work. He knew what he wanted as a career since he was in kindergarten. He is so skilled in all aspects of veterinary medicine. He pours his heart into Petworks, which we call our third child. His skills, professionalism, caring for the patient and the owner shine through with each passing day.

We have two children, three if we count Petworks.  Madalyn is currently a pastry chef here in Overland Park and Mason will be graduating from high school this May. Each of them has grown up with Petworks. When they were little they would watch Dad and help him.  As they have grown they each have worked at Petworks in one way or another. There is a picture of them on the Petworks truck when they were younger. Most of our clients have watched them grow up.Petworks is a family owned veterinary hospital. Kent's mother, Carolyn Callicott also works to provide the book keeping. Both of our families have supported our adventure with Petworks.

As for me, I have worked as a physical therapist for 25 years. I recently took a break to be more present at Perworks. My role is Practice Manager and assisting with the front dest duties. Kent and I work side by side everyday to make Perworks the best it can be. I love beig a mom to Madalyn and Mason, they are our pride and joy. Family is so important to me. I enjoy our family vacations to a wide variety of places. We try to go outside the box on our vacations. I have zipped lined, gone rock reppeling, white water rafting, rock climbing, snow skiing, snorkling, hiking and other fun adventures. We also go to Lake Pom de Terr where my family has a cabin. I love to fish and boat ride. We also go to Bonita Springs, Flordia to visit Kent's mom and dad durig their stay there in the winter months. I enjoy the relaxation, sun and collecting seashells on the beach. I like to golf when we have time or just drive golf balls. I love to play the marimba. This is something I have done since middle school. Music has been a big part of my life and always will be.
